Search for Indonesian plane finds aircraft nose–like object

JAKARTA (AFP) — Investigators searching for a missing Indonesian airliner have said they have detected an object resembling an aircraft nose on the sea bed. The Adam Air plane was carrying 102 passengers and crew when it went missing halfway through its flight from Surabaya on the central island of Java to Manado on Sulawesi on January 1.
An Indonesian survey ship involved in the massive search has detected several large objects on the seabed off Pare-Pare on the west coast of Sulawesi island, expedition head Wahyu Pandu told ElShinta radio.
