Golf: Sorenstam, tired of golf, hints at retirement

STOCKHOLM (AFP) — Swedish golf star Annika Sorenstam has said she was tired of golf and hinted that she may soon be giving up the sport for good. "I'm pretty tired of golf. I want to have kids and if we decide to do that the time is now, and I probably can't combine that with a golf career," the 36-year-old LPGA number one said in an interview with Swedish daily Aftonbladet Friday.
Sorenstam, who divorced in 2005 and has since met her new partner Mike McGee, has made herself unavailable for the Swedish team for the third annual World Cup of Golf, complaining of burnout from a long season last year.
