Football: Ugly brawl mars Reading victory over Sheffield

READING, England (AFP) — Reading beat Sheffield United 3-1 in the Premiership but United manager Neil Warnock was sent to the stands following after an ugly brawl. Reading coach Wally Downes was also given his marching orders by referee Mark Halsey for his part in the second-half controversy following the sending off of Sheffield substitute Keith Gillespie moments after coming.

Gillespie was dismissed for an elbow on Reading's Stephen Hunt, who not for the first time this season found himself caught up in unfortunate headlines. Irishman Hunt was at the centre of a row earlier in the season when a clash with Petr Cech resulted in a fractured skull for the Chelsea keeper.
