Ehiogu completes Rangers switch

GLASGOW (AFP) — Former England defender Ugo Ehiogu has completed a free transfer to Rangers from Middlesbrough and signed an 18-month deal with the Scottish giants.
The 34-year-old, who will wear the number 12 jersey vacated when Bob Malcolm joined Derby earlier this season, could make his debut in Saturday's Scottish Premier League game against Hearts.
He represents a valuable addition to the squad of new Rangers boss Walter Smith. The Ibrox club has looked defensively shaky at times this season, a fact which contributed to the departure of Paul Le Guen earlier this month after only seven months in charge.
