LONDON (AFP) — Watford winger Anthony McNamee heaped more misery on struggling West Ham as his stunning goal clinched a 1-0 win that dumped Alan Curbishley's side out of the FA Cup.
McNamee struck with an overhead kick just before half-time on Saturday to earn Watford a place in the fifth round and leave West Ham, beaten finallists last season, in disarray.
The defeat marked a miserable debut for West Ham's Australian defender Lucas Neill, who may already be regretting his decision to snub Liverpool in favour of a move to Upton Park.
Watford are bottom of the Premiership but Adrian Boothroyd's side were well worth their first win at West Ham since 1984.
