NKorea's eldest son – computer geek raised in isolation

SEOUL (AFP) — Kim Jong-Nam, who has reportedly been living the high life in southern China's casino haven of Macau for most of the past three years, is the eldest son of North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il.

Turning 36 in May, he is the love child of a liaison between Jong-Il and well-known actress Sung Hae-Rim, according to his cousins who defected to the West.

Jong-Nam was raised in isolation. Kim Jong-Il threw up a wall of secrecy to keep his relationship with Sung, who had a teenage girl from a former unhappy marriage, secret from all but a few trusted associates.

Jong-Nam was schooled in his father's remote villas but an absurd amount of money was reportedly lavished on him.
