HONG KONG (AFP) — A man who collapsed while running the Hong Kong Marathon at the weekend was still in a critical condition Monday, health officials said.

The 28-year-old was being treated for heat stroke after he fell ill during the annual race Sunday, a Hospital Authority spokeswoman said.

Four other runners who needed hospital treatment were in stable conditions, the spokeswoman added. One man was admitted to hospital, but has been cleared to return home.
