Ferrari's Massa sets pace in Malaysian GP practice session

SEPANG, Malaysia (AFP) — Brazilian Felipe Massa set the pace on Friday by topping the times in both the morning and afternoon practice sessions for Sunday's Malaysian Grand Prix.

The 25-year-old Ferrari driver, revelling in the wide-open spaces of the Sepang International Circuit on a day of high temperatures and humidity, clocked a best time in the afternoon of one minute and 35.780 seconds.

He was also fastest in the morning with 1:34.972, a feat that proved he had mastered the track and was on course to dominate the event after a frustrating run in the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.
