Rangers sign French striker Darcheville

GLASGOW (AFP) — Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers announced on Wednesday that they had agreed a two-year contract with veteran Bordeaux striker Jean-Claude Darcheville.
The Frenchman will join Walter Smith's side next season on a two-year contract when his current deal at Bordeaux expires in the summer, the club announced on its official website.
The 31-year-old Darcheville has been a regular scorer in French football for Lorient and Bordeaux.
But he struggled during the 1998-99 season when he tried his luck in England with Nottingham Forest.
Former Rangers boss Alex McLeish had shown an interest in Darcheville, but was unable to seal any deal.
