Brown joins Celtic - report

GLASGOW (AFP) — Hibernian midfielder Scott Brown has reportedly agreed a move to Celtic, according to his agent Willie McKay, beating out Rangers, Middlesbrough, Everton and Tottenham.

Celtic were reported to have had a 4.4-million-pound offer for the 21-year-old player accepted.

McKay claims Brown, who is understood to have had a medical in Edinburgh on Tuesday afternoon, turned down a lucrative mouth south of the border to Middlesbrough.

McKay told Scotland Today: "It's a fantastic move for Scott. He is going to a very big club, who will be playing in the Champions League next year. Scott and his family are delighted he is going to Celtic.
