Masters winner Johnson captures ATT Golf Classic

DULUTH, United States (AFP) — Masters champion Zach Johnson defeated Japan's Ryuji Imada on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff on Sunday to win the the ATT Classic.

All three of the 31-year-old Johnson's career titles have been earned in the state of Georgia, including the Masters last month and the 2004 BellSouth Classic.

"I think part of (my success in Georgia) possibly is the style of golf courses. I know the greens are similar to what I grew up on," Johnson said.

"I've always been kind of an April-to-May, early-June player. I did it on the Nationwide Tour. I've done it out here.

"For whatever reason, I don't have any idea. I guess I need to find some property here somewhere."
