BERLIN (AFP) — The seventh and final book about the hugely popular schoolboy wizard, Harry Potter, is being printed in Germany's eastern Thuringia region, the Central German Broadcasting Network MDR has said.
A total of 250,000 copies are being printed under tight security in Poessneck, the regional public broadcaster said, without giving any details.
The forthcoming "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will cap a series that have sold 325 million copies worldwide and have been translated into 64 languages, as well as being converted into a successful film franchise.
The books have made author J.K. Rowling an estimated one billion dollars richer. The first volume appeared in 1997.
