Arnold delays decision on Australian captain

SYDNEY (AFP) — Coach Graham Arnold has delayed a decision on who will lead the Socceroos at next month's Asian Cup until the squad assembles in Singapore later this month, reports said Saturday.
Striker Mark Viduka had the captain's armband at last year's World Cup but defender Lucas Neill and midfielder Vince Grella have since shared leadership responsibilities.
"I have a view on the captaincy but I will speak to the players when I get to Singapore when all the players turn up," Arnold told Saturday's Daily Telegraph.
"The most important thing is that all the leadership group stands up. It's not about the captain or the individual, it's about the team."
