Iglinskiy takes stage, Moreau in yellow

VALLOIRE, France (AFP) — Christophe Moreau took possession of the leader's yellow jersey after Saturday's sixth and penultimate stage of the Dauphine Libere was won by Kazakh Maxim Iglinskiy.
France's Moreau, who overnight was lying second 14sec adrift of Andrey Kashechkin in the overall standings, made his move nine kilometres from the finish up the last climb of this mountain run.
And the AG2R rider soon had Kashechkin in trouble as Iglinskiy went clear up the Telegraphe climb to come in 51sec clear of Russia's Alexandre Botcharov with French duo Pierrick Fedrigo and Remy Di Gregario in third and fourth.
Moreau admitted that it had been a gruelling day.
"It was a demanding day," said the 36-year-old veteran.
