DENPASAR, Indonesia (AFP) — British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is ignoring pleas for help from his brother who is on trial for drug possession in Indonesia's Bali, his lawyer said Thursday.
Ronald Watson Ramsay, 39, is facing up to 10 years in prison for possession of 100 milligrams of heroin he was allegedly found with when arrested on the resort island in February.
"I have contacted his family, sent them e-mails, tried to call them and sent them facsimiles -- but up until now, there has been no response whatsoever from the family," Ramsay's Indonesian lawyer Erwin Siregar said here.
He said his client clearly appeared to need the support of his family in facing the trial.
