Killers set to strike at muddy British music festival

GLASTONBURY, England (AFP) — American rockers The Killers will headline the second day of Britain's Glastonbury music festival Saturday, where muddy conditions are failing to dampen the spirits of music fans.

The band, whose two albums "Hot Fuss" (2004) and "Sam's Town" (2006) went platinum in both Britain and their homeland, will have a hard act to follow after a blistering appearance from Friday's bill-toppers Arctic Monkeys.

Kicking off their evening set with "When The Sun Goes Down," a number one hit in Britain, the youthful indie guitar band went down a storm with the crowd, most of whom were clad in waterproofs and rubber boots.

"And I heard rumours that we didn't have enough songs to headline Glastonbury," joked frontman Alex Turner at one point...
