Viduka and Kewell boost Aussie morale

SINGAPORE (AFP) — A relaxed Mark Viduka and a fit Harry Kewell hooked up with the Australian squad Monday, boosting morale in the countdown to the Asian Cup finals next month.

The Newcastle striker and Liverpool midfielder joined the team after being granted two extra days of rest and were put through their paces at a training session at Bishan Stadium in overcast conditions.

Coach Graham Arnold said their arrival, and having a fully fit squad at his disposal, was a massive bonus as they prepare for their opening group game against Oman in Bangkok on July 8.
