No place for Davis on Discovery's Tour de France team

PARIS (AFP) — Australian sprinter Allan Davis has missed out on riding the Tour de France for the second consecutive year after his Discovery Channel team announced their nine-man squad on Wednesday.
Davis, 26, signed for the American outfit at the start of the season following months of uncertainty over his future due to his implication in the Operation Puerto doping scandal.
His former team, Liberty-Seguros, were suspended from last year's race after five of their riders including Davis were linked to the scandal. Queenslander Davis was later cleared of all suspicion by the sport's authorities.
