Wimbledon food is pasta joke for Safin

LONDON (AFP) — Former world number one Marat Safin dished up a diatribe on Thursday against the food served at Wimbledon, groaning that it was the same old dishes, not good enough and he could not stomach the prices.
Success-hungry Safin has enough on his plate, facing a third round clash with reigning Wimbledon champion Roger Federer.
But though he has plenty of food for thought, he will not be plotting the Swiss hero's downfall over a dish of Wimbledon spaghetti, that's for sure.
"Compared to the prices, for a plate of pasta, it's costing around 10 pounds. For 10 pounds, which is 20 dollars, you can have a great pasta at Cipriani in New York," Safin began, before chewing over the quality.
