LONDON (AFP) — Arsenal have angrily denied that Arsene Wenger had talks over Real Madrid's vacant manager's job.

Real president Ramon Calderon on Thursday claimed the Spanish champions had spoken to Wenger after sacking Fabio Capello last month.

But Arsenal rubbished that suggestion and a spokesperson for the London club said: "It is completely untrue. Arsene Wenger has not had talks with Real Madrid and is committed to Arsenal Football Club."
