LEEDS, England (AFP) — Administrators have delayed a decision on who will take control of fallen English football giants Leeds United.
Accountants KPMG had set a deadline of 12pm local time (1100GMT) Tuesday for interested parties to show proof they had the necessary funds to take charge after Monday's deadline for submitting offers.
However, KPMG administrator Richard Fleming said Tuesday: "We are continuing to evaluate the expressions of interest received and will make a further announcement in due course.
"We appreciate that there is a great deal of interest in the outcome and will take our decision in the best interests of creditors to ensure the best future for the club."
