Ex-NHL winger Palffy returns to action

BRATISLAVA, Slovakia (AFP) — Veteran Slovakia winger Zigmund Palffy, who played in the NHL with the Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Islanders and Los Angeles Kings, said on Thursday that he has reversed his decision to retire.
The 35-year-old has signed a one-year deal with Slovakian side Skalica.
"I hope I'll be OK," said Palffy who quit in 2006 because of a shoulder injury.
Palffy played 684 matches in the NHL and scored nine times in Stanley Cup play.
He was also part of Slovakia's World Cup winning team in 2002 and played in two Olympic Games.
