Cocaine found in home of ex-major leaguer Beck

PHOENIX, United States (AFP) — Police found cocaine and drug paraphernalia in the home of the late former Major League Baseball pitcher Rod Beck, the Arizona Republic newspaper's website reported Tuesday.

An investigative report on Beck's death June 24 detailed large amounts of crack and cocaine as well as pipes for consuming the drugs.

No medical examiner's report has been made public but Beck's ex-wife, Stacey Beck, told the newspaper she was aware he was involved with drugs because they remained close even though she filed for divorce in 2004.
