ROME (AFP) — Italian tenor Luciano Pavorotti is feeling better but remains hospitalised in Modena with an infection, a member of his entourage told the Ansa news agency on Tuesday.
No date was set for his release from his hometown hospital, according to the agency.
His wife, Nicoletta Mantovani, had said last Friday he would be discharged in the next few days.
Pavarotti, 71, hailed as one of the greatest tenors of his generation, was hospitalized last Wednesday with a fever.
Pavarotti underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer a year ago and has since had at least five rounds of chemotherapy.
One month ago Mantovani told fans at a concert in his honour that he was feeling better and working on a new album.
