ROME (AFP) — AC Milan striker Ronaldo, sidelined with a left thigh injury since July, is not expected to be fit until next month, Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Monday.
AC Milan's initial diagnosis on the 30-year-old Brazil striker suggested a quicker recovery but specialists in Antwerp and Rio de Janeiro told him his injury was more serious than at first thought.
"We were wrong with the first diagnosis," AC Milan medical officer Jean-Pierre Meersseman told the newspaper.
"We'll know more next week but I think he'll be able to play in around a month."
