European shares rebound across board

LONDON (AFP) — Europe's main stock markets rallied on Tuesday following a modest rebound for Japanese equity prices in Asian trade.
The London FTSE 100 index of leading shares surged 1.46 percent to 6,223.70 points in afternoon trade.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 won 1.13 percent to 7,459.68 points and in Paris the CAC 40 soared 1.49 percent to 5,466.94.
The DJ Euro Stoxx 50 index amassed 1.22 percent to 4,186.82 points.
The euro stood at 1.3816 dollars, closing in a fresh record high against the US unit.
Europe's stock exchanges had ended lower on Monday as the market mulled the implications of a weak US employment report that caused a big sell-off last Friday.
