Jurors in Spector murder trial end 2nd week of deliberations

LOS ANGELES (AFP) — Jurors in the murder trial of music producer Phil Spector ended a second week of deliberations here Friday without reaching a verdict.
The jury at Los Angeles Superior Court ended a ninth day of deliberations shortly after 3:00 pm (2200 GMT) local time. They will resume on Monday.
Jurors said earlier this week they were unable to reach a verdict, prompting Judge Larry Paul Fidler to issue amended instructions to the panel on Thursday in an attempt to break the deadlock.
Spector, 67, the musical pioneer who created the "Wall of Sound" recording technique responsible for a string of 1960s hits, faces 15 years to life in prison if found guilty of murdering actress Lana Clarkson, 40.
