Jurors in Spector murder trial end 10th day of deliberations

LOS ANGELES (AFP) — Jurors in the murder trial of music producer Phil Spector ended a 10th day of deliberations here Monday without reaching a verdict.

The jury at Los Angeles Superior Court, which retired to consider its verdict in the five-month-long trial two weeks ago, will resume their deliberations on Tuesday.

Jurors said last week they were unable to reach a verdict, prompting Judge Larry Paul Fidler to issue amended instructions to the panel on Thursday in an attempt to break the deadlock.

Spector, 67, the musical pioneer who created the "Wall of Sound" recording technique responsible for a string of 1960s hits, faces 15 years to life in prison if found guilty of murdering actress Lana Clarkson, 40.
