Jenkins shrugs off job fears

NANTES, France (AFP) — Wales coach Gareth Jenkins has shrugged off fears of possible unemployment should his team lose to Fiji and declared his side are primed for Saturday's World Cup do-or-die clash.

Wales must beat the Pacific islanders to make sure of their place in the quarter-finals, where South Africa will be waiting, while Jenkins is defending a mediocre record of just six wins in 19 games.

"We're ready to go, the gun is cocked," said Jenkins.

"We're pleased with the way the preparation has gone, and the detail we have put into the game as well from a technical and tactical point of view. We've covered all the bases."
