Torres targets derby return

LIVERPOOL (AFP) — Liverpool striker Fernando Torres expects to recover from a groin injury in time to feature in Saturday's derby at Everton.
Torres damaged an adductor muscle while on international duty with Spain on Friday that ruled him out of his country's win over Denmark and looked likely to end his hopes of playing at Goodison Park this weekend.
But the former Atletico Madrid star is desperate to take part in his Merseyside grudge match and he returned to Liverpool to receive intensive treatment.
"I don't want to miss out on the derby against Everton," Torres said. "I've been told how special the game is and I need to be ready in time.
