Sevilla keep up march for Champions League progress

SEVILLE, Spain (AFP) — Sevilla kept up their momentum for progression into the Champions League knock-out stages with a 2-1 win over Steaua Bucharest.

The result left the Spanish team second in Group H on six points behind unbeaten leaders Arsenal, while Steaua are bottom with Czech team Slavia Prague third on three points.

Sevilla will at least head into their last home game of the group, against Arsenal on November 27 in good spirits.

In the first-half against the Romanians, Sevilla showed some of the nice touches that was a trademark of their play last season, but needlessly caused panic among their ranks after conceding a goal with 27 minutes to go.
