Vogue says Queen Elizabeth II among world's most glamorous
0 Comments | AFP, November, 2007
LONDON (AFP) — Queen Elizabeth II has been named alongside supermodels Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell -- and her screen alter-ego Helen Mirren -- as one of the world's most glamorous women by British Vogue magazine.
The style bible said in its December "glamour" edition that the 81-year-old monarch was "as glamorous in her brogues and headscarf in Balmoral (her Scottish Highland retreat) as she is wearing the crown jewels".
"Glamour is about how you wear something, not about what you wear," it added, identifying the queen's "USP" -- or unique selling point -- as her jewels.
"You can't buy glamour, and you can't fake it. But unlike beauty, it's not something you are born with, though it comes more naturally to some than others."
