New Bollywood love story set against tsunami: report

MUMBAI, India (AFP) — Top Bollywood producer Manmohan Shetty will make a love story set against the backdrop of the devastating 2004 tsunami, a report said Wednesday.

The bilingual film is titled "Mausam-Nature of Love," according to the Mumbai Mirror.

"It is the first of its kind in Bollywood wherein a film is made about a natural calamity and its effect on people's lives," director Ujjal Chatterjee told the tabloid.

"It focuses more on the global effects of tsunami and not just in India."

Celebrated writer and poet Javed Akhtar will write the screenplay.

Chatterjee said the film will be shot in Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia.
