Paul McCartney finds new love across the pond: reports

NEW YORK (AFP) — Former Beatle Paul McCartney seems to be healing quite well from his divorce, falling into the arms of an American brunette, tabloid reports said Wednesday.

McCartney, 65, is in the midst of an ugly divorce from Heather Mills, a former model and activist, with whom he has a four-year-old daughter.

His across-the-pond flame, Linda Shevell, 47, is a businesswoman separated from her millionaire attorney husband. They have been married more than 20 years and have a teenaged daughter, according to The New York Post.

The reports said the two have known each other for a long time, since Shevell and her husband knew McCartney when he was married to his first wife, American Linda McCartney. Linda McCartney died of cancer in 1998.
