Schalke fine disco-dancing trio

GELSENKIRCHEN, Germany (AFP) — Schalke 04 trio Mladen Kristajic, Ivan Rakitic and Jermaine Jones have been handed undisclosed fines by the club after they broke a curfew with a disco visit on Saturday night.
Midfielders Jones and Croatia's Rakitic, plus Serbian defender Kristajic, were suspended for Tuesday's 3-1 Champions League win over Rosenborg after it was discovered they were in a disco until the early hours of Sunday morning.
The trio were all under strict instructions to rest ahead of Tuesday's crucial game, which booked Schalke's place in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Having been fined, their suspensions have been lifted and they are expected to face Nuremberg in Saturday's final Bundesliga clash before the winter break.
