Underused Robben's problem is anxiety - Schuster

MADRID (AFP) — Real Madrid's Dutch international Arjen Robben, who has failed to make an impression since joining the Spanish champions in August, has been plagued by anxiety, coach Bernd Schuster said Saturday.

"That's the problem we have with Robben, he wants to play and prove that he's ready. That anxiety has played against him. It's nothing serious, but we have to control it," he told a news conference.

Robben, who turns 24 next month, was not included in Schuster's 25-man line-up for Sunday's Spanish league at home against Osasuna due to a muscle strain in his left leg.

"He's had a couple of problems this week, but he trained with the rest of the team today and feels much better," added Schuster.
