GLASGOW (AFP) — Celtic's Poland international goalkeeper Artur Boruc has signed a new contract to keep him at Parkhead until 2011.
The 27-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from Gordon Strachan's side with Arsenal and AC Milan among the interested clubs.
But the player, whose deal had been due to expire at the end of next season, told his personal website: "I'm very grateful to Celtic's management for putting their trust in me.
"That is why I accepted the new contract offered to me and I have extended it for three more years."
Boruc's commitment is the second for Celtic this weekend after the signing of Germany international defender Andreas Hinkel from Sevilla.
