DETROIT, Michigan (AFP) — The Detroit Tigers agreed to terms on a three-year deal with left-handed hurler Nate Robertson on Wednesday.
The Detroit Free Press reported the deal was worth 21 million dollars.
Robertson, 30, went 9-13 with a 4.76 ERA in 30 starts last season and is a key part of the Tigers' rotation.
"Nate has been a quality starter during his time with the Tigers," general manager Dave Dombrowski said. "We are excited to sign Nate to a long-term contract and we look forward to him being part of our rotation for years to come."
Robertson joins Jeremy Bonderman, Justin Verlander and Dontrelle Willis as Tigers starters who have signed through 2010.
He was acquired from the Florida Marlins in January 2003, and boasts a career record...
