WASHINGTON (AFP) — New York Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte's deposition before US lawmakers ahead of a February 13 hearing into Major League Baseball doping will be delayed from Wednesday to next Monday.
US House of Representatives Oversight Committee chairman Henry Waxman and ranking minority member Tom Davis announced the postponement Tuesday.
"Mr. Pettitte is cooperating voluntarily with the committee and we look forward to his testimony on Monday. We appreciate Mr. Pettitte's willingness to assist the Committee," a statement from Waxman and Davis said.
Pettitte will join former New York Yankees teammates Roger Clemens and Chuck Knoblauch, his former trainer Brian McNamee and steroid distributor Kirk Radomski in a February 13 hearing before the committee...
