Angola's Manucho and co out to spike Egypt's title defence

KUMASI, Ghana (AFP) — Manchester-United new recruit Manucho and surprise-package Angola face five-time defending champions Egypt in an intriguing African Nations Cup quarter-final here on Monday.

Angola have never progressed so far in the biennial competition, the Black Antelopes defying the odds to make it past the opening round at the fifth attempt.

A 1-1 draw against Group D joint leaders Tunisia in Tamale last Thursday was enough to see them through as runners-up after an identical scoreline in their tie with souoth Africa and an emphatic 3-1 win over Senegal.
