Paterson recalled by Scotland for Wales clash

EDINBURGH (AFP) — Chris Paterson was recalled to Scotland's starting line-up on Wednesday for this weekend's Six Nations rugby union international away to Wales in Cardiff.
The 29-year-old was a shock omission from the starting side overwhelmed 27-6 by France at Murrayfield during a convincing defeat in Scotland's tournament opener on Sunday.
But now Paterson, left on the bench in Edinburgh by coach Frank Hadden because of a lack of game time with English side Gloucester, returns in place of the injured Rory Lamont at full-back.
His inclusion means Paterson is now set to become Scotland's most-capped back, surpassing Gregor Townsend's record of 82 Test appearances.
Elsewhere in the backs, Australia-born stand-off Dan Parks retains his place despite a mediorcre display against France.
