Klose, Gomez strike as lacklustre Germans win in Vienna

BERLIN (AFP) — Miroslav Klose netted his 37th international goal as Germany sealed a 3-0 friendly win over Austria in Vienna on Wednesday after a lacklustre first-half from the guests.
Klose is now up to joint seventh in Germany's all-time list of goal scorers on his 73rd appearance for his country, but the guests only came to life after a poor first-half which had coach Joachim Loew scowling on the sidelines.
The normally super cool Loew showed his frustration after a poor first 45 minutes with only midfielder Torsten Frings and defender Christoph Metzelder missing from his first-choice side.
Goals by midfielder Thomas Hitzlsperger, Klose and substitute Mario Gomez saved Loew's blushes, but he admitted there was little excuse for such a poor first half...
