Britain keep up pressure on India in Beijing field hockey push

SANTIAGO (AFP) — Great Britain cruised to a second comfortable win in the 2008 Olympic Games men's field hockey qualifying tournament here on Sunday with an 8-0 win over Russia.
The victory followed their 11-0 win over Mexico on the opening day of the six-nation event from which only one team will qualify for the Olympics in China.
Barry Middleton, Matt Daly and Glenn Kirkham all scored twice with James Tindall and Mark Ralph also getting their names on the scoresheet.
Eight-time Olympic champions India, who are expected to be Great Britain's main rival for the sole qualifying slot, enjoyed an 8-0 win over Russia on Saturday and were due to face Austria later Sunday.
