Prince Charles, Camilla arrive in Trinidad and Tobago

PORT OF SPAIN (AFP) — Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla arrived Monday in Trinidad and Tobago for a four-day visit to the twin-island Caribbean state.

The couple arrived at Crown Point International Airport in Tobago just after 6 pm local time and will sail Tuesday to Trinidad where Charles will be met by an honor guard, said an AFP journalist at the airport.

The prince is scheduled to meet with President George Maxwell Richards and Prime Minister Patrick Manning during his visit.

Trinidad and Britain have been cooperating in the area of security and during their stay the royal couple will view a maritime interdiction exercize conducted by the island's Coast Guard.
