DENVER, Colorado (AFP) — Swedish superstar Peter Forsberg didn't register a point but he made the most of his return to Colorado by helping the Avalanche post a 2-1 win over Vancouver on Tuesday.
Appearing in his first National Hockey League game with the Avalanche since April 4, 2004 after signing a contract for the remainder of the season on February 25, Forsberg logged a massive amount of ice time, making it through his season debut unscathed.

Defenceman John-Michael Liles snapped a tie early in the third period with a power-play goal.
