Albania's blast toll mounts as rescuers look for victims

GERDEC, Albania (AFP) — The death toll in Albania's munitions blast tragedy mounted to nine on Sunday as rescuers combed through the rubble of an army depot housing communist-era weaponry and destroyed homes.
Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha said "three more victims were found at the site of the blast" near the village of Gerdec outside the capital Tirana.
"One young woman was found in the rubble of her house," he added.
Saturday's serial blasts injured more than 200 people. A total of five bodies were found on that day.
"Rescue workers continue their search for possible victims," Berisha told reporters, adding that "at least a dozen people are reported missing."
