Dons stun Celtic in Scottish Cup quarter-final

PARIS (AFP) — Aberdeen crushed Celtic's dreams of a league and cup double with a surprise 1-0 victory in their Scottish Cup quarter-final in Glasgow on Tuesday.

Despite the Parkhead side dominating the replay, Darren Mackie scored the only goal of the game in the 69th minute to set up a semi-final clash with first division Queen of the South.

And in a night of surprises in the Cup, first division St Johnstone won 3-1 away to Scottish Premier League side St Mirren in their replay.

They will now take on either Rangers or Partick Thistle who play at Ibrox on Wednesday.

In the first game between Celtic and Aberdeen at Pittodrie, the Glasgow side had required an injury-time equaliser to secure the replay - Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink cancelling out fellow...
