LOS ANGELES (AFP) — Los Angeles Kings rookie defenceman Jack Johnson will miss the remainder of the National Hockey League season after suffering a foot fracture in a 2-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks.
The 21-year-old rising star of the Kings' defence injured his right foot Tuesday when he was on the receiving end of a shot during his first shift of the second period.
Johnson, who is expected to resume skating in about a month, recorded three goals, eight assists and 76 penalty minutes in 74 games this season.
