Forbes drops one Mayweather uncle as trainer, hires another: report

ORLANDO, Florida (AFP) — Floyd Mayweather will not have to worry about a conflict of interest involving his uncle Roger training rival fighter Steve Forbes, even though training Forbes remains a family affair.
Forbes told ESPN that he has fired Roger Mayweather as his trainer for a May 3 date with Oscar de la Hoya just above the welterweight limit over comments Floyd Mayweather made Thursday vowing to fire Roger if he did not drop Forbes.
Forbes also said he has hired Jeff Mayweather, another of Floyd's uncles, to replace Roger Mayweather as his trainer.
