Guidolin fired by Palermo for the fourth time

ROME (AFP) — Francesco's Guidolin's fourth spell in charge of Palermo came to an end on Monday when once again he got the sack from club president Maurizio Zamparini.

Guidolin has been replaced by Stefano Colantuono, who Guidolin had replaced earlier in the season.

The move was widely expected folling a fiery exchange between coach and president last week.

Zamparini blamed Guidolin for poor results and launched a scathing attack on his coach in the media following last Wednesday's 2-1 defeat at Parma, suggesting that the coach had no confidence in his players.

Guidolin responded by claiming that the club was undermining his team by turning the crowd against them.
